Quality depends on the scan — a clean 300 dpi scan works beautifully; a crooked phone photo of a photocopy less so. You can re-upload a better scan if quality is an issue.

Up to ~200 pages or 40 MB on the free tier; paid plans raise the limit to book-length works and multi-volume dissertations. Large PDFs are chunked intelligently so the AI can still answer precisely about page 380 without forgetting the argument in chapter two.
