How is this different from a journaling app or therapy?
Journaling apps capture thought; therapy addresses mental and emotional health. Why Me addresses theological and spiritual questions — meaning, providence, suffering, vocation, prayer — by connecting them to Scripture and the tradition. Get therapy if you need it; Why Me does not replace it.
Can Christian AI really understand my specific story?
Not the way a human can. What AI does well is pattern-matching — linking your questions to the parts of Scripture, the theology, and the tradition that have addressed similar questions for centuries. The Psalms for grief, Job for innocent suffering, Augustine for restlessness.
What kinds of questions is Why Me good for?
Why does suffering feel personal to me? What does my work mean theologically? Is my doubt a problem or a doorway? What does the Church actually teach about my specific situation? Why Me is strongest on the deep, slow questions that need Scripture and the tradition.
Does it give me a reading plan at the end?
Yes. Based on your reflection, Why Me drafts a personalised reading path through Scripture passages, short patristic texts, relevant catechism paragraphs, and one or two chapter suggestions from the great theologians. You can pace it over weeks or months. Nothing is mandatory.
Can I share my Why Me plan with a pastor or director?
Yes. You can export your generated plan (not your private reflections — only the resulting reading list) to share with a pastor, priest, spiritual director, or small group. Several users bring the plan into direction meetings to structure conversations over a season.
Does Why Me work across different Christian traditions?
Yes. Pick Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Reformed, Lutheran, Anglican, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal, or Evangelical framing in settings. The recommendations and spiritual practices draw from your tradition's sources rather than defaulting to one posture.
Is it free?
Yes. The core Why Me flow, generated reading plan, and follow-up reflection sessions are free. Paid plans unlock longer, deeper reflection arcs and the Expert model for complex theological questions that surface during reflection.
